India's national bird is the peacock. Its unique, colorful plumage makes it one of the world's most beautiful birds-and your kids can create one!
1.
Discover information about India and its national bird, the peacock.
2.
Using blue Crayola® Model Magic®, form the peacock's long neck and curved head. Add white Model Magic to form the beak and eyes. Highlight them with black Crayola Marker.
3.
With Crayola School Glue, attach the body of the peacock to the bottom center of a large sheet of white construction paper. Dry.
4.
With Crayola Metallic Colored Pencils, draw different lengths of lines spreading out in all directions from the peacock's body. These lines are its quills.
5.
At the end of each quill, draw and color fine feathers to form a feather eye, using colored pencils and Crayola Twistables Crayons. Accent with Crayola Glitter Glue. Dry.
6.
Create more feather eyes on construction paper that resemble the ones you already created. Cut them out with Crayola Scissors. Glue the feather eyes to the ends of chenille sticks. Attach them close to the peacock's body. Dry.
