Liven up your family's meals with Halloween placemats and napkin holders. Kids' cat-creativity shines through as they design each one!
1.
Using Crayola® Colored Pencils, sketch cats and other Halloween images on white paper. Color your sketches with Crayola Crayons and colored pencils.
2.
To make placemat borders, attach each of your drawings to a larger piece of black construction paper using Crayola School Glue.
3.
Write Happy Halloween or other holiday words on bright construction paper. Cut out the words with Crayola Scissors. Glue the greetings on each placemat. Dry.
4.
Ask an adult to help you cover placemats with clear plastic adhesive so they can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
5.
To make napkin holders, cut cardboard tubes into as many pieces as you need for a set of napkin holders to go with your placemats. With a white colored pencil, sketch cat faces, paws, and tails on black construction paper. Make faces and paws large enough to cover the cardboard tubes, and tails long enough to stick out above the faces. Cut out all the pieces.
6.
Cover your craft area with newspaper. Add cat features to the heads, paws, and tails using Crayola Washable Kid's Paint and Paint Brushes. Air-dry the paint.
7.
Glue faces, paws, and tails to the cardboard tubes. Place a festive Hallmark® Halloween napkin inside each napkin holder.
