Why wait for a pumpkin to grow in the garden? Create a pumpkin patch to decorate for your favorite fall holiday!
1.
Create a whole patch of Jack-o’-Lanterns! Your finished pumpkins will look almost like they are lit with candles when you use Crayola Color Explosion™ paper and color-reveal markers.
2.
On Color Explosion paper, cut out several pumpkins with Crayola Scissors. Pumpkins are shaped like round, wide hearts with no point on the bottom. At the bottom of each pumpkin include a square tab to glue your pumpkin to the field where it is growing. Draw faces on your pumpkins with the color-reveal markers. Make them happy, sad or even scary—however you like!
3.
Use the Color Explosion paper scraps to cut out leaves and vines. Pumpkins grow on long, thin vines that have huge leaves. Sometimes the leaves are as big as the pumpkins! Color the leaves and vines.
4.
Create a field for your pumpkins with pieces of Color Explosion paper and construction paper. Try dots and squiggles for an earthy look. For added contrast, glue colorful cut-paper shapes on your field.
5.
Fold back the tabs on your pumpkins. With Crayola School Glue, attach all of your pumpkins and vines to the base. Air-dry your pumpkin patch. Happy harvesting!
